Understand the automatic changes when you turn 18.

Before you start

• A Humanit account with a verified date of birth

Steps

1. 1When you turn 18, Humanit automatically updates your age band from 16–17 to 18–24.
2. 2Minor-only restrictions are removed where appropriate (e.g., Resume Builder becomes available if it was age-restricted).
3. 3Parental consent requirements are removed.
4. 4Your Responsible Use notice changes from teen-focused to adult-focused.
5. 5Your Student plan access is preserved - turning 18 does not mean you are no longer a student.
6. 6All saved work, citations, study activity, history, preferences and subscriptions are preserved.

Tips

• You will not be automatically converted to a paid plan when you turn 18.
• You will not lose any Student tools when you turn 18.
• Adult privacy controls become available at /dashboard/privacy.
