Humanit for Schools

Extra learning support for pupils. More visibility for teachers.

Humanit gives schools a dedicated Study environment for pupils to revise, practise, ask for explanations and build stronger independent-learning habits between lessons. It is designed to support teachers and existing school learning — not replace them.

School workspaces are separate from the pupil join page. A school creates the workspace first, then shares its join code or invitations with pupils.

What a school can use Humanit for

The school experience is centred on learning, revision and appropriate oversight rather than giving pupils unrestricted access to every Humanit feature.

Study built around the pupil

Pupils can work from their chosen GCSE or A-Level subjects, use subject tutoring, active revision, quizzes, study plans and exam-style practice.

Useful learning signals for staff

Authorised school staff can review school-linked Study activity such as subjects, study time, quizzes, revision activity, progress signals and recent engagement.

School-controlled access

Pupil accounts start with Study only. Other Humanit features remain switched off unless the school chooses to enable them.

AI help with clear boundaries

Humanit is designed to explain, question, practise and guide. It should support independent learning rather than complete assessed work for the pupil.

Teacher and pupil guidance

The school workspace includes tutorials and School AI Help so pupils and staff can understand how to use the platform responsibly.

Simple pupil onboarding

Schools can share a pupil join code or invitation. New pupil memberships can require school approval before school-linked access becomes active.

Where Humanit can help

It can give pupils more opportunities for retrieval practice, revision, explanations, quizzes, correction and structured independent study.

It can help teachers see school-linked learning activity and identify where a conversation, encouragement or additional support may be useful.

It can help pupils practise using AI as a learning tool rather than simply asking AI to produce finished assessed work.

What Humanit does not replace

Humanit does not replace teachers, professional judgement, official examination boards, school marking, safeguarding or pastoral care.

It is not a SEND/SEN diagnostic service and does not replace statutory assessment, professional support or school responsibilities.

Important pupil decisions should remain human-led, with AI output treated as supporting information rather than unquestionable fact.

How a school trial works

1

Create the school workspace

A teacher or authorised member of staff creates the Humanit school account and school workspace.

2

Invite pupils

Share the school join link/code or send invitations. Schools can require approval before a pupil becomes active.

3

Pupils use Study

Pupils start with Study access for subjects, tutoring, revision and learning tasks. Other features remain off by default.

4

Review and give feedback

Teachers can review school-linked learning activity and tell us what should be improved, removed or added.
